About game
The game involves managing a tavern and fighting enemies during expeditions. The tavern management is modeled after the mechanics in Moonlighter, where the player runs a shop. At any time the player embodies the innkeeper, whose main task is to provide fast and effective service to guests. We will have to serve drinks and food on time to ensure customer satisfaction. An additional element in this phase is eavesdropping on conversations. Gathering rumors and information fuel our second main activity. After the tavern closes, once the player has gathered enough informations, we can swap our clothes for armor and set out on adventures as an explorer. For example, we might overhear that someone has buried treasure in the swamps. Upon leaving the tavern, the player is in the city, where they can stock up on supplies or accept new contracts/quests. Once they pass the city walls, a world map activates, allowing them to select their destination. In these semi-open locations, the player fights enemies using a sword or crossbow. They explore the area in search of the quest objectives, which often culminate in boss encounters.
